Request a QuoteThe short answer
This cross-reference covers 10 widely used resin grades. For each one we list the published melt flow and density from the producer's data sheet and up to four grades from other producers to ask about. Use it to find a second source or a starting point when your grade is short, then confirm with data sheets and a trial.

How to use a cross-reference safely
Do not see your grade? Look up the brand in the trade name decoder or send us the grade name; a polymer chemist will tell you what it is and what we can quote.
- Treat listed grades as starting points to ask about, not drop-in replacements.
- Compare melt flow, density and impact at the same test condition and method.
- Check the additive package (nucleator, slip, antistat, UV, mold release) and color.
- If a drawing, UL file or customer approval names a grade, a change needs approval and usually a trial.
- Ask for the producer's regulatory letter for food contact or medical use for the exact grade.
Common questions
What is a resin grade cross-reference?
A list that maps a specific producer grade to grades from other producers with similar published specs, such as melt flow, density and stiffness, so a buyer knows what to ask about as a possible equivalent.
Are cross-referenced grades interchangeable?
No. They are starting points. Additive packages, processing behavior, color and approvals differ, so compare data sheets and run a trial before switching.
Can you quote a grade that is not listed?
Yes. Send the grade name and volume; a polymer chemist checks it and we quote it where we can source it, or a qualified equivalent.
If your grade is not listed, tell us what you run. We source commodity, engineering and specialty resins.
Tell us the grade you run now
A polymer chemist reviews every request, then matches your grade or finds a qualified equivalent and prices it.
What to send for an accurate quote
- The grade name, from any supplier, or a data sheet
- Color (natural, black or a custom match)
- Fill type and percentage, if any
- Melt flow, if you know it
- Quantity for this order and what you use in a year
- Ship-to city and state or province
Have a grade name? Send it to a polymer chemist
We confirm what it is, quote it where we can source it, or propose a qualified equivalent.
Request a QuoteNot sure which grade fits your part?
Send the grade you run now, or describe the part. A polymer chemist reviews every request.
