Request a QuoteThe short answer
Rynite 530 is a 30% glass reinforced modified polyethylene terephthalate (PET GF30) for injection molding. Celanese has sold Rynite since it bought most of DuPont’s Mobility & Materials business in November 2022, so older paperwork may still say DuPont. The Celanese data sheet for Rynite 530 NC010 lists density 1.56 g/cm³ (ISO 1183), HDT 224°C / 435°F at 1.8 MPa (ISO 75) and melting point 252°C / 486°F; it gives a viscosity number (55 cm³/g) instead of a melt flow rate. Grades from other producers to ask about include Ultradur B4040 G6 (a PBT+PET blend), Pocan B3235 and Valox 420 (both PBT GF30). They are partial matches, not identical, so compare the data sheets and run a trial before switching.
Also written as: Rynite 530 NC010 (natural). Rynite 530HTE NC010 and Rynite FR530 NC010 (flame retardant) are separate grades with their own data sheets. Quote the full code from your drawing or bag label; color and additive suffixes change the grade.

Source data sheets are listed at the bottom of this page. Confirm against the current sheet for your exact grade code and color.
Celanese notes that a lower mold temperature gives lower initial warpage and shrinkage but a poorer surface, and more dimensional change when parts are heated later. A December 2023 copy of the sheet showed slightly different values (for example HDT 220°C and a 120–140°C mold range); use the current Celanese sheet.
Grades to ask about instead of Rynite 530
These grades from other producers have similar published specs. None is a drop-in replacement: additive packages, flow at molding shear rates, color and approvals differ. If your part, drawing or customer approval names Rynite 530, any change needs your approval and usually a trial.
| Grade | Producer | Melt flow | Density | Key property | How it compares |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Ultradur B4040 G6 | BASF | MVR 15 cm³/10 min (275°C / 527°F, 2.16 kg, ISO 1133) | 1.55 g/cm³ (ISO 1183) | HDT 200°C / 392°F at 1.8 MPa (ISO 75); tensile modulus 10,500 MPa; stress at break 145 MPa | Partial match. A PBT+PET blend with 30% glass, made for parts with an excellent surface. Lower HDT (200°C vs 224°C), lower melting point (223°C vs 252°C) and a cooler process (250–280°C melt, 60–100°C mold, versus 280–300°C and 95–125°C for Rynite 530). Not a direct swap in a tool set up for PET. Quote this alternative › |
| Pocan B3235 | Envalior | MVR 17 cm³/10 min (260°C / 500°F, 2.16 kg, ISO 1133) | 1.53 g/cm³ (ISO 1183) | HDT 210°C at 1.8 MPa (ISO 75); tensile modulus 9,800 MPa; stress at break 145 MPa | Partial match. PBT GF30, not PET: lower stiffness, HDT and melting point (225°C vs 252°C) and a different window (250–270°C melt, 80–100°C mold). Worth asking about only if the part has heat and stiffness margin. | Valox 420 | NexPoint Materials (former SABIC) | MFR 17 g/10 min (250°C / 482°F, 2.16 kg, ISO 1133) | 1.53 (specific gravity, ASTM D792) | HDT 204°C at 1.8 MPa (ISO 75); tensile modulus 9,300 MPa (ISO 527); RTI 140°C (UL 746) | Partial match. PBT GF30 with the same RTI (140°C) but lower HDT (204°C vs 224°C) and stiffness. Molds cooler: 249–266°C melt and 66–88°C mold. Quote this alternative › |

Typical uses for Rynite 530
Celanese’s sheet lists no specific parts for Rynite 530. It describes Rynite in general as used in demanding applications in these markets, where it replaces metals, thermosets and other thermoplastics:
- Automotive
- Electrical and electronics
- Appliances
What to check before you switch
- Older approvals, COAs and UL files may say DuPont. Celanese has owned Rynite since November 2022; ask for the current Celanese data sheet and UL file with your quote.
- PET GF30 needs a hot mold to crystallize. Rynite 530 runs a 95–125°C mold; the PBT-based alternatives on this page run cooler. A change of resin family usually means new process settings and a dimensional check.
- Celanese warns that moisture above 0.02% cuts strength and toughness without visible defects. Use a dehumidified dryer and check dew point.
- If the part is on the BMW or Stellantis specifications listed on the Rynite sheet, an alternative needs its own approval.
- Envalior sells PET under the Arnite A name. If you need a PET-to-PET comparison, ask for an Arnite PET GF30 data sheet alongside your quote.
- Ask for the producer’s food-contact or regulatory letter for the exact grade if the part needs one.
- Run a trial lot and check shrinkage, cycle time and appearance before you switch production.
Buying Rynite 530: price, lead time and lot size
- Lot size. From one gaylord to a railcar. See gaylord, LTL and truckload for typical weights per box.
- Where it ships from. 22+ partner warehouse locations. Material already in a partner warehouse usually moves sooner than a grade that has to come from the producer; your quote says which applies.
- Price. We do not publish prices because they move with feedstock, freight and order size. What moves your price most: lot size, color, ship-to region, and whether you need Rynite 530 itself or can accept a matched alternative. See how resin is priced and the monthly market update.
- Paperwork. Supplier COA on every prime lot (what a COA shows). Ask for the producer’s regulatory letter or UL file if your part needs them.
- Trying an alternative? Start with one gaylord as a trial lot, molded and checked before you commit a full release.
- If Rynite 530 itself is not available. Some branded grades are sold only through the producer’s own channels or go on allocation. If we cannot source it, we tell you, then quote a matched alternative with a side-by-side comparison.
Send the grade code, your annual volume and ship-to location. A polymer chemist checks it before we quote; we have been in the resin business for 30+ years. For several grades at once, use the resin RFQ template.
Trade names belong to their owners. ResinBridge is not affiliated with these producers; grade names are used only to identify the material. Data reflects published sheets as of October 2026.
