Bayblend T65 XF: specs and equivalent grades
Covestro high-flow PC/ABS blend with a Vicat (B120) of 120°C. Published data, grades to ask about, and how to request a quote from one gaylord.
Request a QuoteThe short answer
Bayblend T65 XF is Covestro's high-flow PC/ABS blend with a Vicat softening temperature (B120) of 120°C, sold for injection molding; Covestro's product page describes it as high flowability; older data sheets add "improved flow compared with T65". Published melt volume rate is 18 cm³/10 min, measured at 260°C / 500°F, 5 kg, ISO 1133, and density is 1.13 g/cm³ (ISO 1183). Grades to ask about include Wonderloy PC-345 and Wonderloy PC-365 from Chi Mei, and Covestro's higher-heat Bayblend T85 XF. They are not identical, so compare the data sheets and run a trial before switching.

Grades to ask about instead of Bayblend T65 XF
These grades have similar published specs. Two are from Chi Mei; the third is Covestro's own higher-heat sister grade. None is a drop-in replacement: blend ratio, additive packages, color and approvals differ. If your part, drawing or customer approval names Bayblend T65 XF, any change needs your approval and usually a trial.
| Grade | Producer | Melt flow | Density | Key property | How it compares |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Wonderloy PC-345 | Chi Mei | Not published on the sheet | Specific gravity 1.1 (ASTM D792) | Notched Izod 9.15 ft-lb/in (about 490 J/m) at 3.2 mm (ASTM D256); Vicat 125°C (ASTM D1525, 1 kg); HDT 95°C unannealed (ASTM D648); UL 94 HB at 1.5 and 3.0 mm | Partial match. General-purpose, high-flow PC/ABS. The Chi Mei sheet shows no melt flow, so ask for one or compare flow in a trial. Expect imported supply; confirm origin. Quote this alternative › |
| Wonderloy PC-365 | Chi Mei | Not published on the sheet | Specific gravity 1.13 (ASTM D792) | Notched Izod 10.7 ft-lb/in (about 570 J/m) at 3.2 mm (ASTM D256); Vicat 136°C (ASTM D1525, 1 kg); HDT 106°C unannealed (ASTM D648); UL 94 HB at 1.5 and 3.0 mm | Partial match. Chi Mei lists it as high heat, high impact. Its heat values are ASTM (Vicat at 1 kg), so they do not rank directly against T65 XF and T85 XF; compare in a trial. No published melt flow; imported supply. Quote this alternative › |
| Bayblend T85 XF | Covestro (same producer) | MVR 19 cm³/10 min (260°C / 500°F, 5 kg, ISO 1133) | 1.14 g/cm³ (ISO 1183) | Vicat B120 130°C; HDT 107°C at 1.8 MPa (ISO 75); notched Charpy 50 kJ/m² at 23°C (ISO 179/1eA); UL 94 HB at 0.85 mm | Not another producer: Covestro's higher-heat version, with similar flow and impact. Ask about it if the part runs hot. Melt temperature range is higher (260–280°C). Quote this alternative › |

Typical uses for Bayblend T65 XF
From Covestro's product data and published listings:
- Injection-molded PC/ABS parts that need high flow (Covestro describes it as high flowability)
- Automotive parts: a distributor copy of the sheet lists Ford and GM material specifications
- Parts that need PC/ABS impact at low temperature: 36 kJ/m² notched Charpy at -30°C
What to check before you switch
- Automotive approvals are grade, color and sometimes plant specific. If your part is released to a Ford or GM spec under T65 XF, a substitute needs that OEM's approval, not just similar data.
- Regulated uses: Covestro's product page says T65 XF needs Covestro's written approval for food contact, medical or toy applications.
- The Chi Mei sheets for PC-345 and PC-365 are ASTM and show no melt flow; Covestro publishes ISO data. Vicat on the Chi Mei sheets is run with a 1 kg load, so it does not compare directly with Covestro's 50 N Vicat B.
- Heat class: T65 XF has a Vicat B120 of 120°C; T85 XF is 130°C. Pick by the part's service temperature, not by name.
- PC/ABS must be dry: Covestro lists 95–110°C for 4 hours to 0.02 % moisture. See our resin drying guide and PC vs. PC/ABS.
- Compare melt flow, density and impact only at the same test condition and method (ASTM vs. ISO results differ).
- Ask for the producer's food-contact or regulatory letter for the exact grade if the part needs one.
- Run a trial lot and check shrinkage, cycle time and appearance before you switch production.
Buying Bayblend T65 XF: price, lead time and lot size
- Lot size. From one gaylord to a railcar. See gaylord, LTL and truckload for typical weights per box.
- Where it ships from. 22+ partner warehouse locations. Material already in a partner warehouse usually moves sooner than a grade that has to come from the producer; your quote says which applies.
- Price. We do not publish prices because they move with feedstock, freight and order size. What moves your price most: lot size, color, ship-to region, and whether you need Bayblend T65 XF itself or can accept a matched alternative. See how resin is priced and the monthly market update.
- Paperwork. Supplier COA on every prime lot (what a COA shows). Ask for the producer’s regulatory letter or UL file if your part needs them.
- Trying an alternative? Start with one gaylord as a trial lot, molded and checked before you commit a full release.
- If Bayblend T65 XF itself is not available. Some branded grades are sold only through the producer’s own channels or go on allocation. If we cannot source it, we tell you, then quote a matched alternative with a side-by-side comparison.
Send the grade code, your annual volume and ship-to location. A polymer chemist checks it before we quote; we have been in the resin business for 30+ years. For several grades at once, use the resin RFQ template.
Trade names belong to their owners. ResinBridge is not affiliated with these producers; grade names are used only to identify the material. Data reflects published sheets as of October 2026.
