About PES
PES is an amorphous, amber-transparent sulfone polymer that runs hotter than polysulfone (PSU). It resists hydrolysis and tolerates hot water and a limited number of steam sterilization cycles (for heavy steam duty, PPSU lasts far longer), and it holds tight tolerances with very low creep. It is inherently flame retardant with low smoke. The trade-offs: it is notch-sensitive, it is attacked by ketones, esters and chlorinated solvents, and it must be dried well before molding.
Common applications
- Filtration and separation membranes
- Sterilizable instrument and device parts (non-implant)
- Electrical connectors and coil bobbins
- Food-service and dairy equipment parts

Property ranges are general guidance and vary by grade and supplier; a polymer chemist confirms the exact spec against the data sheet and certificate of analysis for your application.

A polymer chemist reviews every request, then matches your grade or finds a qualified equivalent and prices it.
What to send for an accurate quote
- The grade name, from any supplier, or a data sheet
- Color (natural, black or a custom match)
- Fill type and percentage, if any
- Melt flow, if you know it
- Quantity for this order and what you use in a year
- Ship-to city and state or province
