About Polypropylene (PP)
PP delivers excellent resistance to acids, bases, alcohols and detergents, a low density, and a unique living-hinge fatigue resistance, all at one of the lowest price points in plastics. It's widely available in food-contact and medical grades. It becomes brittle at low temperatures unless an impact copolymer is specified, and like most polyolefins it needs surface treatment for painting or bonding.
