Low melt index, high melt strength and excellent stress-crack resistance. We source HMW-HDPE film, blow molding, pipe and sheet grades.
Get a quote on HMW-HDPEHigh molecular weight HDPE sits between standard HDPE and UHMW. The longer chains give it the melt strength to blow thin, strong film and large parts like drums and tanks, plus the stress-crack resistance pressure pipe needs. Melt indexes are very low, often under 0.1 g/10 min at 190°C/2.16 kg, so most grades are also specified by high-load melt index (21.6 kg). Tell us the MI, HLMI and density you run now and we can match it.
