Get a quote on UHMW-PEUltra-high molecular weight polyethylene has molecular chains many times longer than standard HDPE, typically in the millions of g/mol. That gives it some of the best abrasion resistance of any plastic, very high impact strength and a low-friction, self-lubricating surface. The trade-off: it barely flows when melted, so it isn’t injection molded. It’s supplied as a powder and processed by compression molding or ram extrusion into sheet, rod and profiles.
