Request a QuoteThe short answer
Delrin 900P NC010 is a general-purpose, low-viscosity acetal homopolymer (POM-H) for multi-cavity and thin-wall injection molding, with improved processing thermal stability and low VOC emissions. Delrin was a DuPont brand; it is now owned by Delrin USA, LLC. Published melt flow is 25 g/10 min (MVR 21 cm³/10 min), measured at 190°C / 374°F, 2.16 kg, ISO 1133, and density is 1.42 g/cm³ (ISO 1183). Grades from other producers to ask about include Celcon M270, Kepital F30-03 and Duracon M270-44, all acetal copolymers. They are not identical, so compare the data sheets and run a trial before switching.

Grades to ask about instead of Delrin 900P
These grades from other producers have similar published specs. None is a drop-in replacement: additive packages, flow at molding shear rates, color and approvals differ. If your part, drawing or customer approval names Delrin 900P, any change needs your approval and usually a trial.
| Grade | Producer | Melt flow | Density | Key property | How it compares |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Celcon M270 | Celanese | MVR 23 cm³/10 min (190°C / 374°F, 2.16 kg, ISO 1133) | 1.41 g/cm³ (ISO 1183) | Tensile modulus 2,800 MPa (ISO 527); flexural modulus 2,750 MPa (ISO 178); HDT 103°C at 1.8 MPa (ISO 75); melting point 166°C | Partial match. High-flow copolymer for multi-cavity, intricate or hard-to-fill molds, with similar MVR. As a copolymer it is less stiff, melts about 12°C lower and shrinks differently. Quote this alternative › |
| Kepital F30-03 | Korea Engineering Plastics (KEP) | 28 g/10 min (190°C / 374°F, 2.16 kg, ISO 1133) | 1.41 g/cm³ (ISO 1183) | Flexural modulus 2,700 MPa (ISO 178); notched Charpy 5.5 kJ/m² (ISO 179); HDT 101°C at 1.8 MPa (ISO 75) | Partial match. Low-viscosity, high-flow copolymer for thin-walled parts; flow is close to 900P, stiffness lower. From KEP Americas' published data sheet. Quote this alternative › |

Typical uses for Delrin 900P
From the Delrin data sheet:
- Multi-cavity tools and thin-wall parts (the producer's description)
- The Delrin family is listed for automotive, domestic appliance, sports, industrial engineering, electronics and consumer goods parts
- Parts with emission limits: below 8 mg/kg by VDA 275
What to check before you switch
- Homopolymer vs. copolymer: all three grades in the table are acetal copolymers, not homopolymers. Expect lower stiffness (tensile or flexural modulus of 2,500–2,800 MPa vs. 3,200 MPa tensile for 900P), a lower melting point (165–166°C on the Kepital and Celcon sheets vs. 178°C) and different shrinkage. See acetal homopolymer vs. copolymer.
- Same producer, higher viscosity: Delrin 500P (MFR 15) and Delrin 100P (MFR 2.5) are higher-viscosity, lower-flow homopolymers. Switching within Delrin changes flow, not polymer type.
- Owner and documents: Delrin moved from DuPont to Delrin USA, LLC. Some distributor sheets still show the DuPont name; ask for the current Delrin data sheet and any UL file under the new owner.
- Gears and precision parts: acetal shrinks a lot (1.9 % for 900P; 1.6–2.0 % on the copolymer sheets above, depending on test plaque and direction). Re-check tooth form and fits on first articles after any grade change. See best plastic for gears.
- Keep acetal away from PVC in the same barrel and purge thoroughly between them; mixing the two can cause rapid decomposition. Follow the producer's purging guidance.
- Compare melt flow, density and impact only at the same test condition and method (ASTM vs. ISO results differ).
- Ask for the producer's food-contact or regulatory letter for the exact grade if the part needs one.
- Run a trial lot and check shrinkage, cycle time and appearance before you switch production.
Buying Delrin 900P: price, lead time and lot size
- Lot size. From one gaylord to a railcar. See gaylord, LTL and truckload for typical weights per box.
- Where it ships from. 22+ partner warehouse locations. Material already in a partner warehouse usually moves sooner than a grade that has to come from the producer; your quote says which applies.
- Price. We do not publish prices because they move with feedstock, freight and order size. What moves your price most: lot size, color, ship-to region, and whether you need Delrin 900P itself or can accept a matched alternative. See how resin is priced and the monthly market update.
- Paperwork. Supplier COA on every prime lot (what a COA shows). Ask for the producer’s regulatory letter or UL file if your part needs them.
- Trying an alternative? Start with one gaylord as a trial lot, molded and checked before you commit a full release.
- If Delrin 900P itself is not available. Some branded grades are sold only through the producer’s own channels or go on allocation. If we cannot source it, we tell you, then quote a matched alternative with a side-by-side comparison.
Send the grade code, your annual volume and ship-to location. A polymer chemist checks it before we quote; we have been in the resin business for 30+ years. For several grades at once, use the resin RFQ template.
Trade names belong to their owners. ResinBridge is not affiliated with these producers; grade names are used only to identify the material. Data reflects published sheets as of October 2026.

What is equivalent to Delrin 900P?
Grades from other producers to ask about include Celcon M270, Kepital F30-03 and Duracon M270-44. All three are copolymers, not homopolymers, so none is identical; compare data sheets and run a trial, and get approval if your part names Delrin 900P.
Is Delrin 900P food-contact compliant?
The 900P data sheet makes no food-contact statement. Delrin also lists a separate Delrin FG900P NC010; ask for that grade's compliance letter if the part needs food contact.
Can ResinBridge quote Delrin 900P?
We quote Delrin 900P when our supply partners can source it. If they cannot, we say so up front and quote a matched alternative, named on the quote with its data sheet, so you can decide whether to trial it. We quote Delrin 900P where we can source it, or a matched alternative, and say clearly which one you would get. Orders start at one gaylord; U.S. and Canada only.
If your grade is not listed, tell us what you run. We source commodity, engineering and specialty resins.
Need Delrin 900P or an equivalent?
A polymer chemist reviews every request, then matches your grade or finds a matched alternative and prices it.
