- LYB publishes HDT at 0.45 MPa as 88°C / 190°F on its ASTM sheet and 79°C / 174°F on its ISO sheet; compare like for like.
- LYB's data sheet lists automotive specifications (FCA MS-DB500 CPN 1537, Ford ESA-M4D134-A and ESF-M4D135-A, GM GMP.PP.013 and GMW15702). These approvals belong to this exact grade; a substitute does not inherit them.
- Equivalents differ in end-use focus: H521 is general purpose injection with tape and fiber uses, PP2252E4 is an extrusion grade for woven fabric, and Formolene 1102KR is listed for raffia and compounding. Trial before switching an injection molded part.
- Food-contact documentation is in LYB's Product Stewardship Bulletin (PSB), not the data sheet.
- Compare melt flow, density and impact only at the same test condition and method (ASTM vs. ISO results differ).
