Resin supply check

Paste the grades you run. See who makes each one now, what changed, and what to check before your next order.

The short answer

Many resin brands changed hands in the last few years. SABIC's Lexan, Valox and Cycolac are now NexPoint Materials, DuPont's Zytel and Hytrel are Celanese, and Trinseo, which sells Magnum and Styron, is in Chapter 11. The resin often stays the same, but the data sheets, COAs, UL files and invoices change. This tool checks your whole list at once against our brand ownership tracker and grade cross-reference.

What the results mean

  • Act now The brand changed owners in 2025 or 2026, or its owner is in Chapter 11 or under review. Check lead times and paperwork, and think about a second source.
  • Check paperwork The brand changed owners or names earlier. Your grade is likely still made, but data sheets, COAs, UL files and letters may carry a new company name.
  • No change found No ownership change on our list. Your current paperwork should still apply.
  • Generic resin A resin type like PP or PA66 GF30 with no brand named. Many producers make it.
  • Not tracked yet A brand we know but have not tracked for ownership yet.
  • Not found yet We could not match it. Send the list and we will look it up by hand.

Questions

Is my list private?

Yes. The check runs in your browser. Your list is only sent to us if you fill in the form and press send. We save your last list in your own browser so you can re-check it later, and you can remove it with one click.

Where does the data come from?

From our brand ownership tracker, which cites a public source for every brand, such as company releases and filings, and from our grade cross-reference, which uses producer data sheets. Ownership data was last checked Nov 2, 2026.

Does it cover force majeure and shortages?

Not yet. It covers ownership changes, Chapter 11 cases, strategic reviews and renamed grades. For a grade that is short right now, use our backup source page.

Are the similar grades drop-in replacements?

No. They have similar published specs. Additives, color, UL files and approvals can differ. Confirm with data sheets and a trial before you switch.

Can I upload a spreadsheet?

Yes. Upload an .xlsx, .csv or .txt file, or copy a column from Excel and paste it. If there is a column named grade, material or resin, we use it. For Excel files we read the first sheet.
