ETFE supplier: grades for wire, cable and linings
Ethylene tetrafluoroethylene trades a little heat and chemical range for much higher strength, stiffness and abrasion resistance than PFA or FEP.

About ETFE
ETFE is a partially fluorinated copolymer. It is much stronger and stiffer than PFA or FEP, with good cut-through and abrasion resistance, and it stands up to radiation and weathering. It is lighter than the fully fluorinated resins and processes more easily, on both extrusion and injection equipment. Continuous service tops out around 150°C, and a few strong oxidizers and hot solvents that PFA tolerates will attack it.
Common applications
- Aerospace, automotive and industrial wire insulation
- Chemical tank, pipe and valve linings
- Pump, valve and fitting components
- Architectural and greenhouse film
- Cable ties and fasteners for harsh environments
- Tubing for fuel and chemical handling

Property ranges are general guidance and vary by grade and supplier; a polymer chemist confirms the exact spec against the data sheet and certificate of analysis for your application.
Tell us the ETFE grade you run now
A polymer chemist reviews every request, then matches your grade or finds a qualified equivalent and prices it.
What to send for an accurate quote
- The grade name, from any supplier, or a data sheet
- Color (natural, black or a custom match)
- Fill type and percentage, if any
- Melt flow, if you know it
- Quantity for this order and what you use in a year
- Ship-to city and state or province
ETFE quoted by process and fill
Send the ETFE grade, your process and whether it is unfilled or glass-filled, and a polymer chemist returns a matched grade and quote.
