Get a quote on glass-filled PBTPBT is a fast-crystallizing engineering polyester. With glass fiber it becomes stiff, strong and heat resistant, while absorbing very little moisture, so parts hold their dimensions in humid conditions better than nylon. It’s a standard material for connectors, sensors and electrical housings, often in flame-retardant form. The watch-outs: it must be dried before molding, and standard grades can lose properties in long-term hot, wet service (hydrolysis-resistant grades address this).
